I called Sephora, and they said to take a printout of the email to my local store and I'd get the free gift with no purchase necessary; I did just that, and they handed over my tube of body butter and NINE facial moisturizer samples... and never asked to see any ID, although I don't know if you can count on that.

I got this a couple of months ago...it's a pretty decent sized sample, and a very nice product.

I just got the email yesterday. Now to see if my mother will drive 45 minutes to Sephora...
 
I had gotten this Bliss cream on Dec. 26th when I went in for the free pencil deal. While I was there, I mentioned that I didn't have the actual "insider" card. They gave me a card, and it had a different number on it from the number on my e-mail account. Then about two days ago, I got a second e-mail for my birthday gift, so I got another tube last night and picked up the "bag full of samples" which was six samples. They were already packaged up, so there was no consultation and recommendation process--everyone is getting the same samples it seems. But, anyway, another cute bag w/free stuff from Sephora!

I went to Sephora store and received this in March. It's a nice size sample. It smells wonderful - like a freshly baked cookie!
 
i signed up at the store with my name address and email and got a sephora card to hang on my keys i guess its to save you money or track your purchases plus the lady gave me free sample perfumes. i havent gotten an email for my b-day yet.
 
Received an email update today that this year's birthday gift is a 3-piece lipgloss set from Sephora - can't wait til my birthday coming up very soon!!!!! Kiss Kiss Kiss

When I asked them about my birthday gift back in Jan. (never did get any e-mail this year--but I don't think I've gotten any e-mails from them lately), the clerk just took my Insider card and looked in the computer. They gave me a 2.5 oz. bottle of Bath & Shower Bubbles (Vanilla Cupcake). Apparently, they sometimes mark it on your account. I think the lip gloss is the newest gift.
 
Sephora's Birthday Gift

Last December, I printed out the email they sent me for my birthday and took it to the store. They gave me a small container of cupcake body wash and rang the bell letting everyone in the store know that it was my birthday. The body wash smells soooo good!
