Staples email notification included a link to an offer for McAfee VirusScan 8.0 for free if you qualify for an upgrade. http://www.staples.com/products/SpotLights/040328/517092/Default.asp
Usually $49.99, there's a $20 mail in rebate form and then a $30 mail in rebate for an upgrade, which can be from either McAfee (but not a pre-installed, or certain other exceptions) OR "any Norton product." Staples also gives free shipping on orders over $50, so, as the Spoofers say, add an eraser, and get the shipping free also.
Both rebates already began, and go til 10/31/04. It appears that you can purchase in-store as well, for this particular offer. This was part of a "special 7 day on-line only" sale, but the rebates are from McAfee, not Staples, so could be applied anywhere til October it seems.
