iDEN "A-GPS" Software Upgrade Request Form (U.S. Domestic Only)
September 17, 2004: The A-GPS software upgrade is now available for the i58sr and i88s phones!
Motorola recently discovered an issue that affected Assisted Global Positioning Systems (A-GPS) location services in certain Motorola iDEN® phones, including the i58sr, i88s, i205, i285, i305, i325, i530, i710, i730, i733, i736, and i830.
Motorola has identified a permanent solution to address this issue. And with this solution, you may be eligible to receive a free data cable and step-by-step instructions on how to upgrade your phone with the A-GPS software.
How do I get the upgrade?
First, check to see if your phone needs to be upgraded. Enter the following information in the fields below:
Serial Number I
MEI Number
To locate the Serial and IMEI numbers, please remove the battery from your phone. The Serial and IMEI numbers are located on the phone, behind the battery. (Serial Number Example: 919TCG1534. IMEI Number Example: 000123434567890.)
If your phone qualifies for the A-GPS upgrade you will be prompted to input your shipping information in the required fields on the shipping order form, and Motorola will send you a USB cable, CD Utility and step-by-step instructions on how to upgrade your phone (please allow 5 days for your software upgrade kit to be shipped).
