this is a similar product, not exactly the facial moisturizer, though. but the price might be about the same.

postage? well that depends on what you're sending in. but i think for first class US mail, the first ounce is $0.37, and for each thereafter, it's $0.23

The form says send in your "department moisturiser". What does it mean? Does it mean moisturiser's like Clinique, Lancome etc. and not Loreal , Aveeno etc.?

great questions. :) i'm not sure what the answers are, though. And what do they mean by "used"

well, at least they have a number that we can call. :)

I think what they're trying to do is to get you to swap your favorite moisturizer with theirs. So even though your bottle of moisturizer is opened and used, they'll accept it. I say... use it all up, that'll cut down on postage too. heh

Olay is good stuff. If I do go for this deal... I'll just be sending them an empty bottle of Olay. lol

that seems kind of gross that they want old moisturizer
i mean really... if i were them, i wouldn't even open envelopes of old moisturzer.
ewwwww.

Price

The facial moisturizer goes for about $18 at Walmart. I personally love the stuff. I'm not sure what they mean by department store moisturizer, but I am going to send in what's left of my Mary Kay lotion. I love the Mary Kay cleanser, but not too hot about the lotion.

OK, i called that 1-800# and asked about (a) what is "department store" moisturizer (that is, does st ives or another brand you can get at a store like walgreens qualify, or are we talking clinique at macy's) (b) how much is the facial moisturizer and (c) what does "used" mean

basically, the procter & gamble rep said they didn't know but the promo doesn't begin until tomorrow and they're hoping to get the answers within the next 24 hrs. :clock:

so hopefully we'll know more by tomorrow :)

IMO just send them one of those small sample bottles that you can buy for less than a buck since they don't say it has to be a big one.

OK, I called again and the rep i spoke with this time had a few answers to my q's

I asked about brands like the ones you an get at a store like Walgreens (St. Ives, Ponds, Nivea) and she said those MIGHT qualify. If they don't, P&G will mail it back to you.

They're looking more for products by Clinique, Estee Lauder, etc.. for you to trade in.

A half-used tube or even empty is OK.

She wasn't sure about the exact retail value of the total effects 7x moisturizer, but estimated it was around twenty-something dollars.

hth :)

On the Olay website, regarding what constitutes "department store" brands, it says the following:

*This does not include national discount retailers, club, grocery or drug stores.
