Garmin nuvi 855 4.3" Widescreen GPS Navigator for $159.99 Shipped

Anyone own one or used one and can let us know how well the speech recognition works?

There is a small button that straps onto your steering wheel. Its a rubber strap that is pretty heavy duty, the button points towards the center of the wheel so when you turn the wheel it does not get in the way. You press the button just before you give a voice command and the device begins listening for your voice. I think the reason for the button is so the GPS unit is not continuously listening for command and registering on things like the radio or people talking in the car. Overall, the speech recognition works pretty well. We dont even have to turn the radio down when giving commands. However, if you blast your radio then you may need to turn it down before issuing a command. There is a secondary button on the steering wheel attachment which acts as a cancel button in case you accidentally hit the voice button. But when viewing a map you can also tap it to open the trip computer (to show max speed, elapsed time, etc.). I find that to be a very nice feature as I like to switch to the trip computer occasionally during long trips.
