Hriders.com 1 TB email

Hriders.com gives unlimited free 1 Terabyte email accounts that include 500 Megabyte attachments.

We have been asked why we would do such a thing. The answer is simple to help people store large amounts of information in a safe and secure environment.

We live in a world where natural and un-natural events take place, that can destroy homes or offices, when that happens many people loose all of their family pictures, their furnishings, office equipment and more.

We decided that Hriders.com should do something more than just provide a place to receive large quantities of emails. What we have done is provide our members with a place to store their family pictures or home videos as well as store pictures of their home or office furnishings, in case something might be lost to an unexpected event.

Homes burn, earthquakes happen, floods and un-natural events take place all the time, and all to often we hear people say, well at least I survived but I lost everything, my family pictures are gone, I did not plan on this ever happening to me so I did not take videos or pictures of my belongs for the insurance company to prove to them that I had a music collection that I have had for over 20 years, or a $10,000 home theater system or 5 computers.

We decided that yes a Terabyte of space may sound rather extreme to some, others will not think so.

If you have a free membership with Hriders.com then you will receive a free 1 Terabyte 500 Megabyte attachment email account. You will be able to store over 40 million emails, videos, games, mp3s, or pictures.

Our servers are housed in an environmentally safe solar powered site run by our friends at aiso.net

They run system checks 24 hours a day, spam checks and virus applications they ensure that our systems are always up and running to ensure our members have the best experience possible while at Hriders.com

We also host a radio station called HRadio which plays mostly heavy metal, rock and alternative music for our members listening pleasure, our radio station can be found on our website.

Please join http://www.hriders.com today and become a member of our family.

I signed up for this months ago and have yet to receive my confirmation. Looks like an email collector for spam. Seriously, 1TB of storage costs a lot to buy.

What most people do not understand about these account that say you get 1 Gig of email or 1TB of email is that the data is compresed on the servers. You can compress text down to almost nothing. Even though you are able to get 1 Gig of space in actuality space on the server may only be 5 - 10 megs. We have database files are are nothing more than structured text. I can take a 250 Meg database file and it will compress to less than a meg.

Although to do that with a 500 MB attachment, which Hellacious Riders says you can send, and it may not compress down so nicely. It appears that you can only have 500 meg in attachments so the rest must be text...which as Kage noted, could compress to almost nothing.

And if you were to upload all your beloved pictures, games, movies and what-have-you to your terabyte e-mail account... even on broadband it would take a while.

Instead of spending days uploading all your personal pics, etc. - buy a DVD writer and make backups. The cost have come down a lot and you can always find a good buy on blanks.

Use the 1-terabyte e-mail for all the spam you get from freebie sites, trial & survey sites. I wonder how long it'd take for a terabyte to fill up with spam :hmm:

And on top of that you have now put all of your private stuff out there for any admin on that server to look at. :11:

They aren't collecting addresses, I've spoken with the owner many times. It is their goal to be the biggest e-mail system on the web. I've never got spam from them.
I've had an account with HR before they even started the 1Tb.

I can say they are terribly slow. My account has some 12 gigs of Photoshop and Paintshop pro files from various groups I belong in to create graphics. I can't even download them (which is why they still sit there months later). I can do a few at a time but it trashes most of my files and I end up having to forward them to one of my various gmail accounts instead. It's been worse since they started doing the 1TB accounts. Many folks in yahoo groups have tried it and left it because of it's slowness with attachments.

I think that Gmail is still your best option due to it's POP ability. UnitedEmailsystems.com offers 3 gig and has POP access as well and is faster that Hriders.

Just a heads up really, if you use it for regular mail no worries but don't plan on using it for yahoo groups, it'll take you a lifetime to download any attachments :(
