Saturday, September 29, 2007 is Museum Day, a nationwide event celebrating the United States’ cultural offerings, where participating museums and cultural institutions offer free admission to Smithsonian readers, and (lucky you!) visitors to the Smithsonian.com website

Print the free admission card.

:welcome: chris and tyvm for the great find! :claps:

Those in Charlotte also have free admission next week during the cultural free for all www.charlotteshout.com

Also, Mint Museums offer free admission after 5pm every Tuesday.

Thanks, there's one that will make a nice bike day trip. Wonder why all the big one,s in Chicago never do things like this.

Little known fact - many museums in New York City have "suggested" amount to pay for admission. I don't remember if they refer to it as a donation. You could decline and still get in. I usually pay a few dollars but not a price that I think is too high.
