if you have done disneyland already, its similar to magic kingdom at disneyworld, if this is the case, i would suggest animal kingdom at disneyworld
epcot is more for people that want to learn about different countries, in the eyes of disney, of course. they have native people of the different countries working in the different country-sections of epcot
you can buy a pass that allows you to visit all the places at disney.

the tourist street is International Blvd, most hotels and restaurants are located on this street including the conventions center. the southern strip of international blvd is nicer than the northern strip, less hectic.
there is also, amongst other things, universal studios, sea world, holy land, kennedy space center and cirque du solei
ft. lauderdale is known for its canals, which you will not readily see, unless you have a house on it, you can check them out on google maps. it has nice beaches and its center of activity is the Las Olas Blvd waterfront. there is a big airport in ft. lauderdale as an alternative to miami (safer, cleaner, cheaper). miami and ft. lauderdale is a 30 minute drive. ft. lauderdale and orlando is a 3.5 hour drive. To directly drive between ft. lauderdale and orlando, you should take Interstate 95 and the Florida Turnpike (State Road 91 [SR-91]). Florida Turnpike is a toll road and is safer and cleaner than I-95. To drive between ft. lauderdale and orlando may cost 12-20 dollars for toll.
