This unit says it's 'XM ready' so you can plug in a special XM antenna if you want, but you don't need XM to use it. I bought this a couple of days ago. It's a pretty good deal for the money. Plays CDs, MP3 discs, digital tuning, backlit screen, remote control, and 5 preset EQ.
