If you have an iPod or iPod mini and want to listen to it in your car, this is a solution. Find an open FM station and tune your iTrip to that station.

The iTrip is the best FM transmitter out there out of all of them, it's part of the reason why I'm upgrading my Dell DJ to an iPod photo. Just keep in mind that this model only works with first and second generation iPods, but it works with all minis.

actually it does not work with 1st generation or 2nd generation but rather 3rd generation on...

1st and 2nd gen does not have the extra input next to the headphone input.

also i have one that i got for free and it wasnt that great... maybe because you would have to actually dial to a disturbance free channel... and in NY its rare.

Filler

Anyone have a good filler item for this?

I rather just get a universal FM transmitter instead. I don't want to be limited to anything... and also because I have an iRiver instead ;)

I have testd both of them T707 IS BEST OF THE BEST....107 freq. is giving me CLEAR CUT sound ...like AUDIO CD Sound...

Only one thing I have to say is that I have a Belkin Tunecast II and it works ok... Its hard to find a good station that has nothing in the background, but once you do, it sounds great. It also depends on the unit you get as well, some don't perform as good as others do (my first one sucked and my second one worked great!)

Belkin

Yeah... I had a belkin one too, but it didn't work so well.. and also the volume wasn't good.. even with the ipod volume turned all the way up on my ipod, it was still very low when putting it through the belkin unit.... so when you go from Ipod to radio.. and you forget to turn down the volume in the car.. your in for a big surprise

so i'm hoping this one will work better.. thanks again for the deal! :D

Just got my itrip the other day. My observations: 1)You have to be very close to the radio for it to work-Almost right on top of it- In fact it wouldnt work in my car and 2) The thing sucks battery power out of your ipod pretty quick.
On the good side: The itrip is cheap and As long as the itrip is close to the FM radio the clarity is very good.
Im am still experimenting with it so maybe I will be able to improve on it somewhat.

Re: range.

I never have a problem with range in the itrip...all you have to be is within 10-15 feet. If you are someone that likes to take things apart and modify things, try this article:

They expand the range, so you can actually overdo stronger stations.

I havn't tried this with my iTrip, but once i have enough time, I might try it. Can't wait to get out my tools and pry that thing apart.
