Which one? I did a search and only found 2 gymboree coupons that were even close to valid, and one of them expired yesterday, many managers fight printed coupons because they have nothing better to do, I have printed coupons directly from manufacturers websites and had problems with over zealous managers that want to be super cop when it isn't their job, first check the expiration date, second figure out which coupon she has and where it came from, third if it's valid, go above the manager, their job is manager, not detective. It is their responsibility to honor their coupons even if it's drawn on the back of a cereal box, if the company created it, it's got to be honored, don't blame spoofee try doing some investigation on the matter.
I'm guessing this is the one you use (?) so I merged this post here. I'm confused because the other coupon expired on the 11th.
I have used this coupon without problems and I am sorry to hear you had this problem, the best way to handle this is to simply call Gymboree or email their CS and tell them how the manager at your local store treated you over a coupon you were emailed (this coupon was emailed). Explain calmly that you were treated badly by a manager over a coupon he should have been aware of and you're astonished a manager is so unfamiliar with Gymboree promotions and would treat a customer so poorly.
You'll be amazed how companies will make it up to you for poor service when approached calmly by a customer.
If this ever happens again always ask for his boss or make them call their corporate office to confirm the coupon is valid and even if it isn't I have never been turned down after talking to people higher then the floor staff.
