Yeah, I have a REALLY old version of this card that I probably got in 1998 or 1999 and although it has faded over the years, it still works.

I'd recommend a Hauppauge card over an ATI or any other manufacturer, these things last forever.

Just to let you know...software encoding is much more versatile and, IMO, better than any hardware encoding on consumer level cards.

Can someone point me in a direction of an all around software encoder? I've got the add-on for specific programs (i.e. NTI cd maker) but is there a specific one that can be used for multiple applications?
