Hi everybody. I am having major issues with the "tap to click" function on the touchpad of this new-to-me computer that my hubby bought for me on ebay. I keep accidently clicking on things, and I can't figure out how to turn it off! I already went to control panel and looked at the mouse options. My husband already tried to find a driver for it online and reinstall it, but he could not find anything. Does anyone have any ideas? The computer has Windows 98 2nd edition, if that helps. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks!

it would depend on the brand of laptop (and therefore the brand of part that is your pointer touchpad) - some laptops have weird toggles you can switch around to turn it off, but then some brands like the NEC laptops have Logitech touchpads that have the tap-click feature hard coded into it.. in that case I don't know how you'd turn it off short of replacing the part.

hope this helps (and hope you have a toggle );)

Whoops, I guess I didn't say what kind of laptop it is, did I? It's a Fujitsu Lifebook 600t. Well, it's 600 and something... I don't remember the numbers.

Thanks for your reply, Mist.
