NJ-NY is starting to get pounded with snow, the kids are stuck in the house - "watchcha doing Daddy?", the wife is stuck in the house - "the living room could use a coat of paint and you're not going anywhere today." (don't get me started with the dogs wanted to go out every 5 freakin minutes), the bourbon is almost gone AND it is only 8:00 in the morning.

This is what I get for not paying attention to the Weather man.

Give the kids the paint and brushes, grab whatever's left of the whiskey and go hide in the bathroom.

ps...u might want to take a magazine w/you.

hey don't fight it before you know it it will be 90 degrees and humid as all heck then we'll hear it all gain how bleepin hot and humid it is let alone no kids to drive you crazy.

That means different things to a man or a woman...

diGriz... It will all be okay. Take 'em all (wife optional) outside and have a snowball fight. It will get the kids tired and you'll get your aggression out in a conformist fashion. You're wife might be thankful for the hour of peace inside as well.

do you not harbor a stash of moonshine?

do you not harbor a stash of moonshine?

He's an amateur.....

diGriz, time to strap those tennis rackets to your feet and head for the liqour store before they run out.....

From the news, Tom's River is already a hazardous blizzard since about 6am this morning but it hasn't started here yet......

AAAArrrrgggghhhhhh!!!!

Make them stop....for the love of Mike....make them stop!!!!!

Well that's that...

...OK...not to worry...I remembered where I hid my "emergency bottle"...

told the wife & kids I was going out to shovel the snow...four drinks and two cigars later...all is well.

The only thing that would have made this day better would be if I had a cat.

And what would you have done with the cat?

BTW You used up that stash long ago.....:toetap05:

A simple 'thank you' for the care package I left you would've been nice....:lost:

And what would you have done with the cat?

Let's just say this was on his Christmas list....................:lost:

I gave that book to a friend in college. He was not a cat person. Now he's married and has two...

...btw... the picture of a dead cat as a pencil sharpener still haunts my memory...

It's a cat butt pencil sharpener! The most unusual pencil sharpener you will find on anyone's desk! Simply stick your pencil into the cats behind, sharpen and hear it meow!

Another storm is starting to pound and it's only just getting started....and....it's Friday.......what have we learned?

#1 - did you befriend the weatherman? or even bothered to give him a look at his forecast?

#2 - did you re-stock? (the bourbon)

#3 - hide all the painting supplies?

#4 - install a doggie door?

#5 - send the kids to grandma's this afternnon for the weekend?

#6 - rent a few girlie movies and stash some chocolate for the English Professor? :suspicious:

.....and.......

#6 - get chains for the tires and buy a 2 stage blower to get the hell out?

:ohwell:

Or ....

#7 - not do any of the above but instead ordered yourself a 'cat pencil sharpener' to occupy/amuse yourself during those long hours while you are snowed in........
"meow" "watchcha doing Daddy?"

:blushing:

:pound:

That is seriously my favorite book ever! I bought it right before I had surgery on my stomach so that I could read it after. What a mistake. I almost busted my gut open again. I love the beer dispenser and the highway reflectors, in addition to the pencil sharpener.

It has been years now but that book still adorns my shelves.
