Help - looking for freebies for a benefit event ...

Hey - I'm sure most of you know me by now. I've been here for a year and I've had an absolute blast sharing and requesting freebies. I've gotten everything from tshirts, baby formula, full sized bags of cat food, etc ... but now I REALLY need to rally the Spoofee troops and pick your collective brain. I've taken up the cause of a dear friend whose hubby was nearly killed in a motorcycle accident a few months ago. I'm planning / co-hosting a benefit ride in October and I'm looking for some really decent freebies for raffle prizes. I'm hoping to cash in on your experience for a very good cause: perhaps you've contatcted a company with comments about their products and received a gift card for your efforts? Maybe it was a discount on services or a really great gift? Please PM me with any ideas --- We're expecting about 500 people to ride and I really want to make this special! Our local Sonic Drive-In & Pizza Hut locations are always very generous with donations.

Take advantage of the motorcycle angle, by contacting local bike dealerships. They get their name out to 500 riders AND get to right the whole thing off as a charitable contribution.

Also, try your local Wal-Mart. They are usually good about donating for charities. However, they may not be as helpful with a benefit for an individual since they may fear being taken advantage of in the future.
