It is an expensive chair. But for someone who is looking for and has the cash to purchase that chair, it is a decent deal. You are saving over a thousand bucks.

if you are buying a chair for the sake of having a chair.. then this isn't for you. This is a chair for people who know this designers and the influential designs they have created over the years.
 
not saying i'm going to go out and buy this myself. But I guess I can see why someone would want to purchase this.

Um, that's why so many retailers begin with ridiculously high prices in the first place. So people go "Wow! An $8000 diamond ring for only $2500! What a great deal!" When in reality, that $8000 ring is only worth $700 on a good day. For curiosity sake, I was checking out a jewelry post from Spoofee or ************ the other day. The exact scenario I described above was available from K-Mart, some I3 J color 1 karat piece of junk.

Anyhoo, I'd pay $2500 for a chair if was plush and stylish enough. But this stuff is garbage relative to the price. It looks like it's from the 70s, especially the legs/feet. I don't care who the designer is. They also have vinyl tables that seat 4 for $500, what a bargain. :druel:

Someone who has $3600 to spend for a chair is not going to lose too much sleep over overpaying $1100. Personally, I love Aeron chairs but there's no way I'd pay that much for it... perhaps if it was $400? :)
 
Oh, good Lord. It's an Eames chair...this is a decent price considering what they go for...even used.

This is like complaining about a sale on Armani suits or a discount on a Panerai watch.
