www.1and1.com

Great prices, and great service. Do a search and you can see other comments about them. I'm on their free preview package for 3 years which I got on a while back and it's excellent.

Wait, I remember you use Comcast. Comcast offers 175MB (I believe) of webspace with no bandwidth limit with your account. If you buy a domain for around $6 a year from 1&1 that has free forwarding, you can forward that domain to your Comcast hosting. This might be the better option for you as it is just a small business site and 175MB should be plenty. I think it used to be 25MB, and they upped it to 175MB recently.

Oh great though i already got the hosting . Ok one porblem , i kinda spent 3 hours doing the site on yahoo site builder , yes i know i was lazy , now is there any way i can import it. Or do you guys know of any good easy site builder , like yahoo sitebuilder , need to teach my mom and i refuse to teach her dream weaver Mx , btw thanks erik

It's all just html in the end, no matter what builder you use (I'm assuming you're not using a programming language like asp/jsp, etc). If Yahoo builder doesn't let you d/l the html files directly, just go to your pages and right-click and view source. Then, just save that as an html file on your pc. Keep the directory structure the same as what you have on yahoo. Add in whatever other files you have (image files, mp3s, etc). in the same directory structure as now, and voila! You will have a local image of your yahoo site.

Of course, I'm hoping you used relative links instead of absolute ones everywhere... (ex: something like href="./images/foo.jpg" is relative. Something like href="http://www.yahoo.com/~dehawk666/images/foo.jpg" is absolute)

Good luck - let me know if you need more details.

Hey there,

I use Hand In Hand. There service is great and the stuff included w/ the account just cant be beat. You can host up to 3 domains and unlimited sub domins. The basic account comes w/ 15GB Xfer, 1GB Storage, Unlimited Email and FTP accounts. The basic setup is $29.99 / year if you use the url above. It's wierd if you go to www. it's a higher price, but the above url goes to www2. and it's lower. Go figure.

I just read your message a little closer so a couple of questions. Do you need your own domain? Or would a subdomin work for you? I used fateback.com to host a site a while back and it was pretty good and it is free. The have a very small text banner at the top of the page, but it's not to obtrusive.

The www2 thing is basically just like a subdomain that the admin has set up. It's just a name, just like you might have forum.spoofee.com. You can call "forum" anything you want - www2, www3, whatever. It's usually for load balancing purposes. But having to type in the extra subdomain is less lucrative, hence the lower price.
