On Sunday our house caught on fire while we were gone. Our neighbors tried to save it but it was so bad that there was nothing they could do. We and are staying in a hotel until they can find us temporary housing. Yesterday a contractor came out and told us our house would be uninhabitable for 4 to 6 months.
My internet time is limited but I just wanted to let you guys know where I am.

Gosh, that's terrible!! Remember, stress can be deadly. Keep the chin up! Thinking of you and your family...

Oh wow, so glad no one was hurt, but that stinks..... I hope there were some things you could salvage......I could only imagine how hard this must be.

I hope things can go as smooth as possible and as quickly as possible for you until you're 'home' again....

Thanks, the fire started in the garage and that is where I kept a lot of my pictures and all of my Christmas decorations. I lost all the kids Christmas decorations. Thank God I scanned a lot of the baby pictures last year. I am just glad we are all OK.
I am using my sons laptop without a mouse. This is kinda tricky.

OMG that is horrible. I am so sorry :hugs:

Once things settle a little for you, please let us know an address in which we can send things to help you, like maybe your town hall or fire hall address.

That is a great idea.
Sharon, I am SO sorry you are going through this. Thank God you are all allright. I wish you strength through all of this. :hugs:

Sharon, I'm so sorry about your house. I'm glad you are all ok.

I hope things work out for you. You don't happen to live off Gumbottom Road in Waco, KY do you?

Sharon, I have never replied to any message before but I couldn't let yours go by without a response. I'm terribly sorry for the lose of your house. I have been there and I know the feelings you are dealing with. Thanksgiving week my ex-boyfriend set my house on fire with my daughter and her boyfriend inside. My daughter survived after spending 89 days at Bayview (burn center in Baltimore, Md.) and 14 operations. She was burned 3rd degree deep over 40% of her body. Andy, her boyfriend was treated and released. (f.y.i. they are still together!) It was horrible but both my daughter and Andy are back in college and doing alright. Eventho you and your family weren't physically hurt the pain of "loss" is there. 4 to 6 months sounds right. I think we were back "in" in five months. Please take it one day at a time as it will get busy with the contractors and take your time completing your disposal list. We lost all of our material items as it sounds like you did. Take care. Sherri

Sharon, what a blessing you all are okay.:loving:

Thank you for letting us know where you are and what is going on.

This could be a wonderful Spoofee challenge~to see how many freebies we can gather to help with a situation such as yours!!

In thoughts and prayers~:yesnod:

Oh wow-Sharon, I am so sorry this happened. Let me know if there's anything you need, and I'll be more than happy to help you out. I'm glad you all are ok.

Sharon, is there anything we at Spoofee can do for you? I bet your emotions are running something like this:

Sharon-I'm so sorry to hear about what you are dealing with right now. I guess you are lucky:prey: that you and your family weren't home.

Thank you guys, I feel lucky because we could have lost so much more. My emotions waver and it is hard but I am trying to focus on what I have and not what we lost. I know we will get through this.

OMG, I am SO sorry to hear that. That has to be everybody's biggest fear-outside of losing a loved one. I am at a loss for words-just reading this now. PLEASE keep us informed. You are definately in my thoughts and will put you in my prayers tonight. Apple:prey:

Very sorry to hear about your loss Sharon. If you all need clothing or personal items right now list or pm what you need or just want and an address of a friend or family member to send it to... I'm sure there will be quite a bit sent.
