Thanks Druvans. It's pretty sad when our emergency 911 lines are tied up with unnecessary phone calls like that, when other folks who may be having an actual emergency need the 911 lines and cannot.:mmph:
Some people. I thought this was funny though: "They stole my damn dollar...he won't fix my taco...I ain't havin' no rice in it...He's holdin' my dollar and ten cents".
I have never worked as a dispatcher, but it is even frustrating to me how people misuse 911. I cant imagine actually receiving a call like that. I would probably get fired for the "information" or the "help" I would dispatch!
If anyone hasnt told you lately Spaz and anyone else that works to help the public (EMT, Dispatch, Police, Fire) THANKS for all you do!!!!!!! :bigok:
I actually had one lady mad at me because I didn't give her a PIN number to help her unlock her cell phone. She pushed the 'Help' button on the phone expecting an operator. I told her to call her cell phone company and make the request there. Did that ever set her off!
