How about making the front page automaticaly sort the ratings as people rate the deals. This way the hottest (highest rated) deals would always be at the top and the not-so-hot (lowest rated) deals would be a the bottom of that day's section.

Does that make sense??

BTW, I like the new layout of the page.

That is an interesting thought. I'd be concerned that a great deal might get buried because it is at the bottom of the stack.

It is a good idea, but I don't think that people here regularly rate deals that much.

How about a THANK YOU button?  ;)

I have an idea,

rollerskates that work on gas.

Not a bad suggestion :)

Digg.com follows this and it seems to be working for them, but hot deals come and go quickly unlike intersting stories so this may not work for us.

We also need to make a change so more people would take the time to rate as Big Daddy said.

I can definitely make it an option.

Even when I am logged in (it says welcome, kagura at the top right of the page), when I try to rate a deal it tells me I need to sign in. Then I sign in and it takes me to the forums page. Then I have to click 'home' and find the deal I wanted to rate. Its petty, but this does somewhat discourage me from going through the trouble.

Its prolly not a good idea to let just any guest go rating willy-nillly, due to the possibility for abuse, but is there anything inbetween?
