I have a problelm going to Bed Bath & beyond website. I can sometimes get to their home page but as soon as I click on anything to look around I get booted. :frusty:

This only happens on this one site!:(

Can someone with computer knowledge PLEASE help me. Is there settings that can be changed to stop this :questionmark:

Does this happen to anyone else...or am I the only one :questionmark:

:usa:

Are you using Internet Explorer or FireFox?

It sounds like you have a block or filter turned on

Have you tried clearing your cache and your cookies? That would be the first thing to try imo.. Maybe try setting your security to the lowest setting and try it then.

Does it give you an error, like a 404 or a 'taking too long to respond', or 'cannot find the server'?

I have cleared the cache & cookies. Did not help.

I changed my security level too...did not help.

NO error messages either.

I'm no computer expert (but I play one on Spoofee), but it sounds like you have turned on a filter to block the web site.

Open [internet properties]
click on the [Privacy] tab
click on the [Sites] button

You should see a list of web sites that are being blocked.

Should I restart my computer after making the changes to be effective?

The only other thing I got is check your Windows Firewall settings and pop-up blocker settings.

After that - I have would say either wait for spazntwitch to read your thread or send him a PM.

don't be surprised if his response smells a little smokey.

I thought that it could be a problem with the BB&Y site but I use IE and I was able to get on. You might want to try restarting your computer to see if the things you changed are fixed. I am not much of a IT person, I usually leave that up to my husband.

Why would just one website have this problem? It makes no sense to me?

I am restarting my computer & will be right back.

Still have the problem.

Sometimes my router does that. So i just reboot it & things are fine again.

Can you explain what you mean by " get booted", Does your IE crash and close out?

What version of IE are you running: Go to Help and about.

Also, If you right click the link and choose "open in a new window" what happens?

have you tried restoring defaults. Go to Tools, then Internet Options. Then click the advance tab, then Restore defaults. Apply, close IE, then try again

Also, do you have any tool bars such as Yahoo, or websearch, if so, try disabling them or even uninstall them. then try your link

Upon reading your suggestions, I Restored the defaults. It still does it. :mmph:

I do not have any tool bars either.

Anything else that you can think of?

My guess is that you have a corrupt Adobe Flash install. I would first uninstall it by going into your Control Panel and choosing Add/Remove Programs. Look for Adobe Flash Player ActiveX or anything similar to it. Uninstall it then reboot the computer.

I would then reinstall it from here.
