Ok I am smack in the middle of my winter blah's so I sat down and made a small list of things I love about winter to sort of encourage myself to hold out a little longer, summer will be here soon! So anyway

I LOVE not having to shave my legs, nobody is gonna see em anyway!

I LOVE sitting by our fireplace, my 4 year old will back her little tailend right up to the fire and then run off screaming "my butt is on fire!" LOL she has seen WAY too many cartoons!

I LOVE the quiet, still and peaceful sound right before it snows.

So please share what you all LOVE about winter, maybe we can all encourage each other to hold out in these winter blues, summer is coming soon!

skiing/snowboarding.
errr....better balance when walking to the bus stop?

I LOVE having an excuse to grow a beard so I don't have to shave too plus I can be Santa at the Xmas parties.

I LOVE the quite after the first inch of snow. In the city it doesn't get too quite before the snow or any other time.

I like most everything about it except for winter rain and at the moment the Dept of Sanitation. They haven't picked up my trash from yesterday because of the snow of which there is none left on the streets so it doesn't make sense.

If I didn't like much about winter (ahemm, preco :lie: ) I'd move to San Diego. ;)

Well, I have less sunshine to shovel in the winter
It's tourist season, but they won't let us shoot 'em
Right now it's 72 degrees and I'm going kayaking on the river with my kids

I like the site of the first good heavy snow ( which we don't get too often anymore) where the trees have a layer of snow on each branch. The clean look of snow before it becomes dirty. Warm soups, and nights curled up in a blanket watching a good movie.

And I thought it was just that you were busy. I had no idea that self discipline was involved

You're really pushing it tonight, aren't you:questionmark: :05:

LOL

I live down in Florida so i don't have to wear coats, boots hats, gloves and scarves.I don't have to go and scrape the ice off of my windshield or shovel my driveway.
Right now it is 63 outside and looks like rain.Do i miss the harsh winters up North?Nope.

Lived in Florida for 10 years and gladly trade the whole winter stick for the daily rain and humidity. It took me 3 years to get used to the Florida weather and 10 years later it took me 3 days in SoCal to realize how I'd gotten used to Florida and convinced myself that it was great. 10 more years in SoCal and I came to the northeast and found that I had missed the seasons too so here I am.

snow

snowflakes

snowmen

snowball fights

snow drifts... the bigger... the better!

crisp, clean, fresh air

icicles

hot chocolate

fires (in fireplaces...)

sweaters

sledding

ice skating

comfort food (stews, roasts)

candles

HOT baths

that top layer of ice that is really thin because the stuff underneath it has melted and washed away or the air on top was colder than the ground so there's nothing underneath and when you break it with just the toe of your boot it sounds really delicate

I don't think that I would appreciate spring as much, if it wasn't for winter.

It's nice to have a change in the wardrobe

What's Christmas without snow :santaclaus:

were expecting 6 inches tonight  that sure didn't sound like I meant it to sound. :snow:

Similar to "if I didn't have this excruciating pain, then I wouldn't be happy when it stopped"? :convinced:

I'll skip the 'pain'...;) I can relate with pictures....:proud:
