Because it gets really warm down in Florida,if I am at home,I walk around barefoot.So yesterday evening as I went out to the garage to get the garbage ready for pickup,there was this ugly,odd "Thing".It looked dead.But it was about as small as my pinky finger.But when I went to move it with a pair of pliers...it MOVED.I am not kidding when I tell you that it was a very alive scorpion.Gross.So my BIL who was in the house,picked it up with pliers.It put up quite a fuss.So where does he fling the darn thing?Over by the mailbox where I walk...barefoot.:doh:

buy some flip flops girl - keep them by the door and slip them on when you go outside.

There are tons of things to step on in Florida. Especially sandspurs...........I hate those things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, when I was 16, somethings you just don't forget. It was quite a funny sight.... me jumping around screaming "get it off"

I've stepped on a slug and the slime after the slug was removed took forever to get off! :argh:

You guys must enjoy acting like hobbits.....
I never go anywhere without a pair of shoes on, hell I would rather go out clothes-less then shoe-less.
 
I used to go barefoot all the time in Ohio - except for a couple patches of "Stickers", there was never anything to worry about stepping on.

Those stupid sandspurs are everything - - sometimes one will get in the wash, come unstuck and then stick to something else. I have found them in washclothes, inside of pants and even on underwear! ouch!
 
i hate bugs so much. if theres a centipede*shudder* in my room i cant go back in my room(or stop moving around) until the next day

Are they categorized by room of the house?

Are there bedroom centipedes? office centipedes? sunroom centipedes?

What kind of centipede are you guys talking about that are fast moving and crawl out of soda cans, I thought they were more like worms?
