The 40GB iPod has been discontinued. Another good choice to consider is the 30GB iPod photo which adds another 10GB and a color screen for an extra $50 retail.

I think the 30GB photo on Buy.com is the way to go. Heck, for that price, it makes me want to get one.

I actually bought a 30GB iPod photo last night (phew, a lot of money). I bought it along with an iSkin case and an iTrip. Total was $320 for the iPod (I'm not a new customer, but I bought Buy.com and their India customer service is so clueless that they promised me a $15 refund), $37 for the iSkin ($30 retail + $7 shipping) although it's worth it to buy the iSkin direct (you can find them for $30 shipped elsewhere) because it comes with the carrying case and the wheel cap, nowhere else has that. The iTrip cost $28 shipped on eBay.

Hopefully I can get Buy.com to give me that $15 refund. Overall, very excited to replace my Dell DJ with this.
 
Sigh, I hope the $15 refund goes through. They charged my card the $320, and supposedly in 2-5 business days, they'll give me a $15 refund as per the coupon. I doubt it'll actually happen...
 
LOL, i was just about to advertize the dell dj :p Those things are nice; I have one! I personally prefer the Ipod, but it was way cheaper for me to get the dj then an Ipod.
