Is bottled water better than tap water?

san diego water is nasty. i don't know about healthwise (altho i certainly question it), but bottled water definitely tastes a whole lot better. even after a brita or pur filter.

i hear the bay area around san fransisco has awesome tap water, dont even need a filter system of your own. in that case, i would just drink tap. but san diego is just plain bad.

Hey DASANI is just filtered tap water and has been banned in the UK.
Its not the real mineral spring water like Evian and Perrier, FYI.
What else would you expect from Coca Cola?
 
I suggest buying (or downloading, I guess) "Penn and Teller's Bullsh1t!" (sorry about the filterskip, but needed to get the name out there), Season 1. They do an episode on Bottled Water and how much 'bull****' the whole concept is.

They filter it nicely though, and there's really nothing wrong with it. My school uses Coca-Cola as their beverage supplier and I drink it when I'm not in the mood for soda. I'll tell you though, I'm pretty pissed. Coke in the Philadelphia area is on strike and our machines haven't been filled for a couple weeks, all gone now. I was parched this afternoon and almost flipped out when the machine ate my dollar and it was sold out.
 
seattle area has very clean water. before moving up here i didnt know that water really wasnt supposed to taste like anything.
 
Suburban Philadelphia water is good, I don't think Philadelphia tap water is that bad, it's definitely not pure though.
 
Why don't you just drink Trump bottled water?

After the Finale of the hit NBC's TV show "The Apprentice", here are some links to Donald Trump's bottled water. You judge for yourself regarding why drink bottled water versus clean, cold tap water in the S.F. Bay Area (go figure!). I never tried "Trump Ice", but hey if a multi-billionaire can make money off of filtered tap water, why drink just water from the toilet like our pets. ;)

Naive.

The only good thing about bottled water is that you get a nice little bottle to refill with water from the tap.

I'll stick to beer.
 
Dasani is Just as Filtered Tap as Aquafina- What can you expect from Pepsi? LOL
 
Evian tastes like all bottled spring water *should* taste - pure and clean. If it weren't for that stuff, I wouldn't see any difference in bottled or tap water.
