It's a shame that there has been a 'change of air' in the forum. Newbies might not realize it but there are a lot of members who have either ceased/or decreased their postings due to the hateful, vile stench that is being spewed. It is no longer a happy family site.

It is no longer 'light hearted ribbing' and has become quite offensive, sometimes intimidating and sometimes downright insulting. I do not blame those who have left, any good person would leave who is continually harassed. I miss a lot of the good people who have 'left', and probably because of that reason. So I'm sure the offenders are very proud of themselves for disbanding/destroying instead of bringing a community together.

Spoofee has such potential and it's community has such potential with their vast backgrounds and willingness to share, as well as their wit and good hearted humor. Too bad that the few rotten apples are ruining the bushel. :(

I agree, it seems like people are coming here and just trying to distupt the forums with hatred/controversy. There is no reason for it and I think we as mods are going to need to come up with a solution to combat the problem. There is no reason that if your life is truly that miserable, why you have to try and bring everyone else down with you.

It will be fixed real soon. :o
 
We should bring back the "say one good thing about the person above you thread".
 
You know, I hadn't noticed Preco; since I'm still a newbie. But I too agree that this is supposed to be a fun and inviting place to be. I'll tell ya, that when I signed up a few people (you being one of them) treated me as if I'd been here for years. Thank you, and I truly enjoy that about Spoofee. I believe that Waxed has a great idea. I don't let any of the negativity or controversy get to me, but I can see where it would offend some people and send them away. Thank you for bringing this to everyones attention. Your kind gestures are appreciated.
 
Thanks Preco, I agree with you. I know this community was totally different when I first joined. I hope some of the old people come back. We do have some great newbies on here though. Maybe we can get some of that positive energy back.:)
 
Preco I am so glad you brought this matter up. I actually left for a few days but nobody noticed. Doesn't matter anyway. The point is, I was called several names and honestly, it hurt my feelings, knowing that these 2 people don't even know who I am.

Yea, I know the whole "stick and stones" thing, but it just isn't right. I love having the daily interaction with everyone but those who are new or feel like they have to be 'cruel' to others is enough for anyone to want to leave.
 
oh and I just want to add that I just saw a comment in the freebie section where someone called the poster a "douche".

i share your grief. i have been intimidated by one individual who i've politely asked to not reveal my personal information but they continuously bring it up in conversation and have shared this information with others to intimidate me in hopes that i would no longer post in the spoofee discussions. we were actually very friendly to one another until i requested the member to keep my personal information in confidence. its just sad to me that people would do anything to have the upper hand. i hope spoofee is a better place today and in the future.

Babs, I noticed....and you were missed. That's part of the reason I spoke up....I didn't want to lose you too.

I admit that I too have 'pushed the envelope' a time or two, but there are those who are either hypocrital or they just plain don't get how abusive and vile they are.
 
Aw I'm sorry Babs and Eabu. It's a shame that other people need to treat other people like garbage because they are having a bad day..week..year or life. It's easier said than done but I don't let other peoples BS get in my way of having a good time. I check in a few times a day here and I think the site and all the people are great. Everyone has treated me like family and I think it's just awesome. Big hug goes out to everyone...including those POS's........even if you are a piece of sh**, you still need loving too :)

oh btw am I still considered a newbie???? :tongue:

I like your take on things. I don't think people should take anything to serious here. The community is for fun.

I have not been one who has been offended and don't think I have been the offender. I think that Spoofee is a great place and there are great people here. Nobody should come to this peaceful community just to talk $#!T. It's not fair to those of use who come here for the deals and conversations.

I wonder, is there anyway to block them permanently so they can't continue to disrupt this happy community?:hmm:

Thanx Preco, I had a feeling you noticed. I was going to speak up and say something, but just decided to leave for a few days. There is no reason why anyone on a online community should say hurtful, vindictive things to another person.
I'm here for all the reasons everyone else is, but I don't need to be called names in the process of trying to have fun and interact with people who I have come to 'known' over the last year.

Amen to the entire post.
I have been searching through all the posts and have found many things.
Of them, I found... UNNECESSARY religious tension
... UNNECESSARY personal conflict
... UNNECESSARY opinions

I feel Mr. Spoofee has, for the long time I have been here, been able to keep a good control on the site, unlike many other sites out there. I believe we need to separate spoofee & religion (Like we do in the US). I don't think we are doomed in any sense, but we need to rid ourselves of the weeds around us and not impose or interfere in other people's matters. We just need to keep our harsh opinions, whether it be about politics or whatever, to ourselves.

I feel that I am still new to the site I am trying to learn and I am trying to fit in, you ALL seem so nice and very interesting to talk to. I look forward to checking on spoofee to see whats up I was very glad to find this site and very glad to have a place where I have fun. it's the first site I pick from my faves everytime I get on the web. I hope I start to fit in with you all very soon. thanks to everyone who make this such a fun place to visit every day!!!:claps: :D

thanks for saying that precocious!! I really enjoy my time here and I take my time and relax here after my 3 boys go to bed everynight and I tend to check in a few times during the day while my kids are napping or at school. thanks for being such a great group of people to talk to. :)

and the laundry thing I feel like that's all i ever do :(
