Boy does that piss me off. When they say "It's safe. It's safe! We're careful! " and then whoops! Ya know, like off shore drilling and when dh throws the dogs ball in the house.
 
I'd like to know where the map came from. I don't trust it.

Fortunately, the map is a hoax, according to the real Australian Radiation Services, which has put a disclaimer on its website letting readers know it had nothing to do with the map.

One of the giveaways is that the “rad” is an outdated unit of measurement and is no longer widely used, said Joe Young, managing director for the service.

Good research. Glad to see that it is fake. I knew I was RAD, but not that much! LOL
 
I thought it was kind of cute.

There is a big run on iodine these days :-) Esp. in California.
 
The map maybe posted by some bogus people, but I'm not ready to laugh it off yet.

No harm in stocking up on iodine. :wink:
 
BTW, my local Post Office, which is next door, has an real old fallout room in it still, converted to an employee lounge. That is where I'm going. lol Check to see if your PO has one.

Post office doesn't, but our shop is actually in one of the buildings. That's where we would head.
