Well, I had bought a KDS Flat Screen CRT from BBY and opened it after like 5 months of buying and it turned out to be DOA. Thankfully, BBY gave me a replacement refunding me the whole price I had paid. My two cents is to atleast see whether the monitor works. Yeah, stupid of me not to use mine for 5 months to begin with.
