TigerDirect seems to have a rep for problematic rebates.

looks like they are trying to do something about it, though, by "guaranteeing" their rebates:

i'd say if you're going to try this or any other rebate through TD, be sure to send your get a Postal receipt or tracking number to verify that the rebate submission was made before rebate expiration date. In addition to keeping copies of everything.

This way, if anything goes awry with a TD rebate, you can submit a claim with TD (maximum of 5 Rebate Guarantee claims per year).

I'll be honest, I did give them a second chance after them having a mistake with one of my rebates in the past and this time the rebate did come in. I think they're trying to clean up their rep now, but I would honestly do everything that they say do for the rebate gaurentee thing! Its only like $1.50 to get it certified sent!
