Ok, so I usually make copies of all my rebates just to make sure it doesn't get 'lost' in the mail. I've gotten rebates on time from Dell, Western Digital, Seagate, etc. So I had a rebate to send out for Kingston for $30. Since i've always gotten my rebates, I just sent it out without making a photocopy. And the one time I don't photocopy, no rebate. :banghead:

Point of story, always photocopy rebates.

Yup... I keep a copy of everything including barcodes/proof of purchases. All orgnized in a nice little file that I check every now and then. When I get one in I shread the copies. :)

Ugh, that's too bad. :(

But thanks for sharing your story. It'll definitely make people think twice before sending in a rebate without making copies first.

Update...Just received my rebate in mail like 2 days ago.. :D . But the funny thing was that when I called Kingston for the rebate, my name/address was not in their system??? Either case it took them a good 13-14 weeks to deliver. I had submitted it back in December 04!
so a :bigok: for kingston, and make sure you guys keep your photocopies. So that makes me like 8/8 for rebates. :)

Mailed in rebate form on Dec 7, 2004, it said to allow 8 weeks for rebate. Contacted them on Feb 4. They said it didn't arrived until Jan 11, snail mail and needed 8 weeks from that date. Contacted again on Mar 8th, they said I should recieve it soon. Contacted Mar 17, and they said check was mailed March 11th and to wait 30 days before they could issue again. - It is now 14 weeks, Still waiting and still counting. :clock:

sorry to hear that, but for some strange reason, Kingston's rebate process is really really slow. Other big companies like Dell, Seagate, Western Digital, etc. usually mail their rebates within a month. I think I submitted my rebate on like Dec 30, 2004. Pretty sure it was end of the month tho.
