In Japan, this TV show was very popular.

This guy, Nasubi was locked into a room with nothing including his cloth. He was just allowed to submit mail to contests/sweepstakes.

He would not be released until he earned $10,000 in sweepstakes goodies.

I remember watching part of that on TV. They have a lot of these suvival on the smallest amounts possible.. its pretty cool. They have one where 3 people compete, at who can spend the least amount of money in a month. They have to eat three meals a day, and they only get $100 a month. But they actually only end up spending like.. $35 for the entire month. I think this includes electricity...
