The price would have to drop even further for me to consider purchasing this. You know why they call it the Dyson Root 6? Because the battery lasts for only 6 minutes. Seriously. Now, most people's argument is that if you're going to vacuum an area for more than 6 minutes, you should break out your full-size vacuum. I agree with that; however, what if you need to clean a few small areas around the house? It's definitely going to take more than 6 minutes, and dragging a full-size vacuum around the house is a pain.

So, back to the Root 6... It wouldn't be such a big deal if additional batteries could be purchased at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, this isn't the case as additional batteries cost about $75. Ok, well what about just plugging it in and using it? No such luck there either... it has a wall-mounted charger. If those two issues were fixed, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. But unfortunately those two issues kill the deal.
 
Dyson may be like the Mercedes of vacuum cleaners but they get consistently mediocre reviews in Consumer Reports. They have great commercials, though. Check out Miele vacuums.
 
This is still a great deal but the link says item not found and when I search on Dyson I dont see this model...? Is the deal dead?
