Logitech Harmony 676 Remote Control for $89.99 Shipped

Thanks Spoofee, this remote is really nice. I have one of them (that I paid $99 for) along with a Harmony 880. This one would not work great in a full home theater, but if you have a room that you only have tv/vcr/dvd/amplifier this will work great for you.

The software that is used for these is also very good.
 
If you are willing to spend $90 for a universal remote, maybe you should consider spending another $35, and get the harmony 880. It usually goes for ~ $125 from time to time, with a $30 MIR from Logitech. The key advantages are built-in rechargeable battery along with charging base, and customizable display. I personally wouldn't want to spend $700 for the Philips pronto, but IMHO the harmony 880 is a good step-up.
