Would the Ipod Video work w/ these?

dont think so, apple did away with the little remote control port that the 4G and previous had and im pretty sure these use that. i remember really wanting a pair of these thinking itd be pretty pimp. they should release an updated version that is compatible with the 5G ipods

It will only work with the iPods in that list because it uses the remote port. Also, I went to buy these and I added the paperclips but they have been "discontinued".

Can these be used with other mp3/ radio players if the remote jack is bypassed in some way? I need a nice pair of cheap bluetooth headphones for my sirius radio

I dont know how you would do that because I believe the remote port is how it powers the bluetooth transmitter. Unless its passively powered, which I doubt.

EDIT: Im going to purchase these and ill get my headphone jack extension cord, plug the female end into the bluetooth transmitter and the male end into an old CD player and ill let you know if it works.

Good news, it comes with an adapter that allows you to plug it into any device with a headphone jack including my laptop and my 5G Video iPod. Totally worth it! I love it!

Can you still use the functions on the headphones to control your video ipod using the adapter?

No, because the only thing you're plugging in is the audio jack, not the remote port that the older iPods have. However, they are making an adapter that plugs into the dock port that replicates the remote port which allows you to use older 3G and 4G top mounting accesories (iTrip and such) on 5G iPods, so when that comes out it will probably work. But for now, all you get is audio. The sound quality is good, it gets pretty loud however, there isnt much bass, atleast compared to my current sony mdr-ex51's. But it is definately worth it, they fit nicely, they have a universal application as I found out, and for the price, they are the best bluetooth headphones out.
