BestBuy (in store only) has the Maxtor 120GB 8MB Cache Hard Drive for $130. There should be 2 rebates ($40 BestBuy rebate & $30 Maxtor rebate) printed out at the register which drops your price down to $60.
I called my local Best Buy and they had these drives in stock, but they said the price was $159.99 before the $30 and $40 mail-in rebates making it $90 rather than $60 after rebates.
The clerk said yesterday there were tags in the store showing the lower price, but it was an error and they had been pulled, so assuming that is correct perhaps people who lucked into stores yesterday were able to get the store to honor those tags. All I know is they wouldn't give it to me for less than $90 now which is not a great deal when I remember that Office Max once had the WD 120GBs for $40 after rebates.
I picked one up before I went to work today, and it was priced at $129.99 on the receipt, however, I just noticed that both rebates printed out $30 each, not $30 & $40. I'll have to stop by again and ask.
I just picked one up at lunch. Price here is $129 before taxes with two rebates for $30. Price comes out to just over $80 bucks after taxes and rebates, which still is not too bad but you can get them online for $105 bucks without the hassle of rebates. Think'n about returning this one and getting a SATA 120G, they are only the same price as this before the rebates.
