Yeah, I'm gettin on the phone with Staples for this one..... because a 200 gig for $50 is crazy and worth a half hour on the phone with staples for this one.......

ok ok so heres the other alternative. i even saw the drive cheaper at compusa. http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=298845&pfp=SEARCH

i'm not so sure what they will do on the phone, but going in the store is a good bet too. I'm actually going to head out to the store today and speak to a manager. Since this HD is not available in-stores u can order it from the access point. I'm tell her/him what's going on. "I wanted to buy this HD on your web site but the incorrect MIR is posted." USUALLY if they can't find you the 200 dollar MIR then then will give u an instant discount. So in this case u would get -150 off instantly and a 50 dollar mir. So i was gonna try to PM compusa and get that instant rebate today bringing it down to $70. if u can get that $50 off then it's worth a shot :D

I called staple and they say it is a typographical error and that the real rebate is $50.

I guess you have to buy it first then play dumb and ask for an adjustment. although they might just tell you to return the item.

supposily staples is "suppose" to give u an instant rebate if they can't find the MIR. Try to go in stores and have them purchase one for u. Then after thats done, say "so wheres my 200 MIR?" it would be really impolite for them to tell u that they can't sell it to you or not offer it to you at all. it is clearly advertised on their web site.

nope

i called they said, its an error on the web site, they do inform u of it politely and if u persist they do have the policy on typographical errors.

ahhh wells. go for the compusa one. pretty good. but sucks if u get taxed.
