It is sold out before Sunday 4/6/2003 11:00 am EDT. I tried to buy it and I was unsuccessful
 
This is a terrific scanner. I've gotten 3 of these now. They are actually the Artec scanner relabelled as Memorex. Don't worry if you have missed this deal as it gets offered frequently. You will see it again at Staples.

This is a USB scanner - no power cord needed, it works great with Win 98 and Win xP. Absolutely no need to buy a $100 Hp scanner. This one works as well as the best ones out there.

Extremely thin and light, it almost (but not quite) fits in a laptop case.

It also has buttons on the front case to do scanning, copying, etc. Good if you are puzzled by your typical scanner software.


This Artec company is IMHO the best peripheral company out there. I've bought several of their offerings now....Sorry, I have gotten for free several of their offerings. How do they make money by giving their product away like this?

Noticed while filling out the rebate form. The $60 rebate is also good for the Visioneer 58000 (499667) and Artronix E +48U (499449).
 
The rebate is for all 3 of those, but how it worked is you order the Memorex (the only one they listed on their website) and they would send you a scanner that was one of those three brands depending on where they shipped from. Since they are all the same model and just rebranded it probably makes no difference which one you get. They did send me the Memorex one.
 
Both the memorex and the artronix are listed and in stock in my area. On the other hand, "We're sorry, there were no matches for 499667 on our site. "
