Miami back.........Artec's E+ 48U Thin and USB powered scann

hi guys, I am back with a new deal
Check this scanner at Staples. Artec's E+ 48U scanner (Item no: 499449) for 79.98 with a $50 rebate. Use the $20 off $50 coupon code "26463". The good thing about this scanner is this is USB powered. Which means it doesnt need any AC power which is really excellent specially if u want a mobile scanner :)
If you guys have Amex buzz card, you can get pricematch with online (too many stores are offereing it from $40 and above). I donno how good this scanner is. But USB power is tempting me to buy this even after buying Memorex Ultra thin 2 days back. As I have American Exp Business card.
The one thing disappointed me this year was Compusa's Sale. They have things that wont even sell in back yard sale.

merry christmas.
regards

The downside to a USB powered scanner is that it sucks power from the computer power supply, which has to power all the components not just a scanner. Many budget PCs use JUST the minimum wattage PSU necessary to work with the configuration as it shipped, especially celeron pcs often have low end PSUs.

There is a reason why a self powered USB hub costs more than a USB hub that isn't self powered.

Don't get me wrong, it's handy at times, just pointing out the yin and yang.
