R.I.P. Michael Jackson.

I wish I could go. Too far of a drive for me.
I do hope they have it on TV tho.

i seen that it is going to be offered to the tv stations i cant see them not putting in on tv as much as people want to be a part of it

I'm waiting for the road tour......."coming soon, to a town near you".............

They had a cop on 20/20 tonight that they really hope the ppl who are not attending the service with tickets and VIP passses will take advantage of the televised program....in other words "keep yer a$$ home if you aint invited and watch it on tv like all the other poor nobodies"

Wait for the ticket scalpers...

who will sell their tickets for obscene amounts of cash. :nonod:

I am equally upset...however, there are those (opportunists) who will seek profits from the situation and furthering their own agendas and that was what the comment was about.......

On Harlem sidewalks vendors sold hats, T-shirts and key chains and placards with likenesses of Mr. Jackson as well as his CD’s.

This outside the Apollo "'memorial/tribute"

If you are serious about attending and apply, I hope you get a free ticket to pay your respects.

I dont get it. This is getting out of hand.

Wow, kuxoanjl, are you willing to come all the way out to SoCal to attend?!?

I don't know what the nat'l news coverage is/was like, as far as specific details at Staples Center, so for those of y'all who think you might just mosey on over there to try 'n' get "close" to the event: the LAPD is going to make a "no go" zone of MANY CITY BLOCKS surrounding Staples Center, where you won't even be able to enter that area WITHOUT the necessary credentials. (I'll do a search & see if there is a map up yet -- if so, I'll post a link.)

Cool! You'll have a decent/safe place to stay, which is important. And having your cousin live out here, you won't get rooked by the "businesses" that prey on tourists.
:peace:

This is a Furneral people. Anyone whoever would want to make money from this will have to answer to a higher power than spoofee (I believe). Yes I did enter with my sons name and b'day because he had to work, he lives in Ca about 30 minutes away from where this will be held and wanted to pay his respects. I did not put an entry for me in since I live on east coast and to far for me. They do ask for name and b'day so this should limit some misuse. I did get called for Jury duty on the 20th maybe its for spoofee.

I was disgusted by what I saw on Ebay.. One joker even had a ticket to the funeral along w/ an OLD Micheal Jackson photo that he was SELLING for $5000!! Can you believe that crap??? I think Ebay ought to disallow these FREE Tickets from being sold! Afterall this is the worst scalping of tickets I've seen in years! Many were going for $100.00 and up!
HOLY COW! I take it back .. one has 2 tickets w/ 23 bids for $12,100.00 and another get this My eyes popped was 3 bids for $600,100.00 and YES U READ THAT RIGHT! Just type in Michael Jackson Tickets and see what pops up!Holy TOLEDO! One Ticket is OVER $1MILLION DOLLARS!! 6 bids and it's $1,000,100.00 and i often wonder how many of these tickets are fake???????????

So.... who got tickets?

I didn't. That's okay. I couldn't get out there anyway. If I had been chosen, I was going to offer them to one of my friends who lived out in the LA.

I disagree.
Funerals are not events to which tickets are sold.
This is MJ's 'final performance'.
I hope enough money is made to pay off his creditors.
As for 'his' kids, they've got a number of stable aunts and uncles who can give them a decent normal childhood. for their sakes, I hope they have no musical talent.
