Microsoft Wireless Router - $4.99, Microsoft Wireless Card - $4.99

Circuit City in-stores has a great deal on the Microsoft Wireless 802.11b 4 port router for $4.99 after a $25 rebate. They also have the Microsoft wireless notebook card for $4.99 after rebate.

1. Click here and click on Weekly Ad to view your Circuit City Ad.
2. Dash to your local Circuit City to buy the goods.
(You can also order online for an express pickup. Once at the store, you can return and buy to get the rebate.)
Final Price : $4.99

if i understand this correctly, basically, you just tell the clerk that you wish to purchase this via store not online so that you'll get the rebate. Otherwise, you can always buy it and then come back and return it and rebuy it. if they ask for a reason, just tell them that there was no mail in rebate with online purchases...well, tat's wat i think it means...

Yes lap1314134, that is correct. This way, you have 1 reserved for you.

grr, sold out

I checked three stores within 100 miles of here, all sold out!!! HOWEVER, keep checking, clerk tells me they willhonor the rebate untill this saturday!!! :D

I reserved it at a far away store but clerk told me that I could make an instant transfer to the stoe next to me when they get it in as long as it is whith in 14 days so guys if you want it reserve it and do the same I did.

GOOD LUCK!

Beware, in case this isn't clear already, you can't get the rebates on BOTH items, only one or the other. IOW, either the router is $5 AR, or the wireless adapter is $5 AR, your choice, but not both. I called CC specifically about this since the rebate forms are ambiguous (at least online they are). I suspect many believe, as I did originally, you'd get both for $10 AR. Not the case, not according to the rebate rep @ 1-888-213-9761.

Now I just called and double checked, and was told that you will receive the $5 MIR for each of the items listed. You just have to send it 2X, once for each item. And that was coming from a supervisor. So who knows

Figures, but the fact that you can get different answers from different reps indicates how precarious it all is. My rep put me on hold to check w/ the supervisor too, and I got a different answer. Only people worse than these rebate centers when it comes to consistency is the IRS.

In the end, the only thing that really matters is the guy who opens your rebate submission, so there's an element of luck in all this. I'm sure the CC rebate center will be rejecting some and accepting others, just depends on the luck of the draw that day.

Btw, the idea that my rebate will be accepted if sent 2x, vs. a single rebate for the two listed items, is in itself, ridiculous. If this is true, the rebate process itself is a game of "gotcha". So someone logically thinks they can submit BOTH on the same rebate (since both items are listed, same address, same offer, even mentions multiple UPCs), but gets rejected simply because it's in the same envelope?! They've got to be kidding. Like I said, a game of "gotcha", if true.
