Free theme park tickets for servicemembers

Stars and Stripes
Mideast edition, Thursday, January 5, 2006

WASHINGTON — Officials at Anheuser-Busch have extended their offer of free theme park admission for active-duty servicemembers through 2006, allowing troops and up to three family members a free day of rest and roller coasters.

The offer is good at all of the company’s theme parks, which include SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and Sesame Place. The company has eight parks in five states.

Any active-duty servicemember, reservist or guardsman is entitled to free admission under the program. Families of troops serving overseas also are eligible to visit the parks in the military personnel’s absence.

Civilian defense workers are not eligible for the free tickets. To claim the tickets, recipients must supply a valid service ID or military dependent ID.

Anheuser-Busch officials said more than 900,000 troops and family members took part in the program in 2005.

Online registration isnt required....

at least at SeaWorld San Diego. They have a dedicated ticket booth for military, just show up with your ID and they give you tickets...quick and easy. Im not sure how they track how many times you actually go to the park. The guy at the booth never entered any information into his computer before sending me on my way with tickets in hand.

I think this goes for any Anheuser-Busch park...I know it works here in FL @ Busch Gardens!!!

THANKS FROM ANHEUSER-BUSCH: Each active-duty military personnel or drilling reservist (and up to three dependents) is eligible to receive one free pass in 2006 to an Anheuser Busch theme park. This is not a gimmick. It is Anheuser-Busch's way of giving back to those who have sacrificed so much for our country. It's a fun way to spend a day, and you can almost afford to eat at the park, since you got in for nothing. Eligible participants are required to register online at www.herosalute.com or at the park's entrance. Department of Defense photo identification is required. For more information, go to www.herosalute.com.
