Mobo Sound vs Creative sound

so as you can see the audio technology has advanced in the newest mobo's so are they in the same level with creative yet??

I know creative is still rocking that market but cmon...

for example: A8N SLI has 7.1 audio with digital out and in.... hmm would u think this would be = Creative Audigy 2???

Also I would like everyone's input on
SATA and UATA at its current speed.

is it worth it to upgrade to SATA or stick with the standard ATA?
supposedly the speeds on SATA are phenominal.

Creative will blast any on-board sound on the market. It's still very noticeable. More and more, you see boards supporting 6/7/8 speaker systems with digital input/output, but the sound still doesn't compare.

I still prefer a good external (USB) sound card to the internal Audigy, but in either case, you'll notice a difference over the onboard setup.

on-board sound is not as good as internal... i can tell the difference
