Official RulesMolly Movie Sweepstakes
OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.
The following sweepstakes offer is good in the United States only and shall be construed and evaluated according to the laws of the United States. Do not enter this sweepstakes if you are not a U.S. resident located in the U.S. at the time of entry. Sweepstakes is void in U.S. Territories and Puerto Rico.
HOW TO ENTER: All registrant information must be of a person who is 18 years of age or older, or entry will be disqualified. Enter online at www.mollymoviesweepstakes.com between November 1, 2006 and December 7, 2006. Where indicated, supply the month, date, and year of your birth date and click on “Continue”. Enter your name, complete address, phone number, and e-mail address and then click on the link at the bottom of the page that says "Enter the sweepstakes." Limit one entry per entrant. Sweepstakes starts 10:01:00 a.m. CST on November 1, 2006 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. CST on December 7, 2006. Online entries must be submitted by 11:59:59 p.m. CST on December 7, 2006.
PRIZES: One (1) Grand-Prize Winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received. Grand Prize consists of a trip for four people to American Girl Place location of winner’s choice in either Chicago, New York, or Los Angeles. Trip must be taken between May 15, 2007 and August 31, 2007, or travel portion of prize will be forfeited. Trip includes: four round-trip coach airfares from major airport nearest winner’s residence to American Girl Place of choice, plus two hotel rooms with double occupancy for four days and three nights, and ground transportation to and from the hotel. Prize also includes: two Day at American Girl Place packages at the retail site of winner’s choice, for a total of four meals in the American Girl Place Cafe, with the actor who portrays "Molly" in the movie Molly: An American Girl on the Home Front, subject to the actor’s availability; four tickets to The American Girls Revue™ or Circle of Friends™ (show depends on store location chosen); two CDs of The American Girls Revue™; two sittings at the photo studio and two souvenir issues of American Girl magazine with child’s picture on the cover; $240 spending money; and two doll T-shirts. If winner is unable to travel on dates convenient to “named actor,” that portion of prize will be forfeited. Prize also includes two Molly & Emily Best Friends Collections (collection includes one Molly Doll, Book & Accessories and one Emily Doll, Book & Accessories) and two Molly’s Miss Victory Collections (collection includes one of each: Molly’s Stage & Screen, Velvet Theater Seats, Molly’s Miss Victory Costume, Emily’s Tap Costume, Molly’s Curl Kit). Actual value of trip depends on destination, point of departure, and airfare fluctuations. Saturday night stay required. Some blackout dates and other restrictions may apply. Travel dates and arrangements are subject to availability. If any portion of the total prize value remains unused, it will be forfeited. Balance will not be given in either cash or merchandise. All travel arrangements will be handled by American Girl. Once reservation is made, changes and any related expenses are responsibility of the winner. Total Approximate Retail Value (ARV) is $5880. Twenty (20) First-Prize Winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received. First Prize consists of Molly & Emily Best Friends Collection (collection includes one Molly Doll, Book & Accessories and one Emily Doll, Book & Accessories) along with one signed movie poster. Approximate Retail Value of each prize is $219. Fifty (50) Second-Prize Winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received. Second Prize consists of Molly: An American Girl on the Home Front DVD and a Molly 6-Book Set in Paperback. Approximate Retail Value of each prize is $59.90. Total Approximate Retail Value of all prizes is $13,255.00.
RANDOM DRAWING: Sweepstakes drawing to be held on or about December 11, 2006. A random drawing will be conducted from among all eligible entries received by an independent judging organization whose decisions are final in all matters relating to the sweepstakes promotion. Odds of winning the prizes are dependent on the number of eligible entries received.
ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes open to legal U.S. residents that are age 18 or older on or before November 1, 2006. Employees of American Girl; Inc., Mattel, Inc.; their respective affiliates; subsidiaries; parent companies; partner companies; advertising and promotion agencies; printing and mailing companies; judging organization; and immediate family and household members of each are not eligible to win. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state, and local laws apply.
GENERAL: By entering this Sweepstakes, participants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Sweepstakes Rules and the decisions of the judges. Grand-Prize Winner will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (except where prohibited), which must be signed, notarized, and returned to the Sponsor within 7 days of attempted delivery of same. Noncompliance within this condition will result in forfeiture of prize. Unclaimed prize will not be awarded. Winner will be notified by mail. If prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and will be awarded to an alternate winner. All income taxes on the prize will be the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitutions or cash redemption of prize as offered except as provided herein. Prize is non-transferable. All meals, taxes, gratuities, and other expenses not specified herein are the responsibility of the winner. Guest(s) accompanying winner must sign and return a Liability/Publicity release at least 14 days prior to travel. Any minor traveling as the guest of the winner of this Sweepstakes must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian who must sign and return all required documentation. Tentative First-Prize Winners will be notified by telephone and/or e-mail. If a tentative First-Prize Winner cannot be reached within fourteen (14) business days from the time of first notification attempt, such person will be disqualified and an alternate entry will be randomly selected. Once contact has been made with a tentative First-Prize Winner, prize will then be sent by mail or other courier service. Tentative Second-Prize Winners will be notified by telephone and/or e-mail. If a tentative Second-Prize Winner cannot be reached within fourteen (14) business days from the time of first notification attempt, such person will be disqualified and an alternate entry will be randomly selected. Once contact has been made with a tentative Second-Prize Winner, prize will then be sent by mail or other courier service. Sweepstakes entries become the property of American Girl, Inc. and Mattel, Inc. and will not be returned. In case of unavailability of any prize, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize of equal or greater value. By accepting the prize, winner consents to the use of his or her name, photo and/or likeness for advertising and trade purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited. Participants waive the right to assert as a condition of winning any and all costs of redemption or travel to redeem said prize, and any liability, which might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem said prize. By accepting the prize, winner releases American Girl, Inc.; Mattel, Inc.; and their respective advertising, promotion, and provider companies; and each of their respective officers, directors, agents and employees from any and all liabilities with respect to the prize and any travel related thereto, and acknowledge that said parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the prize, including but not limited to, its quality, mechanical condition, or fitness for a particular purpose. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Sweepstakes should any computer virus or other technical difficulty beyond the control of the Sponsor corrupt the administration, security, or proper play of the Sweepstakes and randomly award the prizes from among all eligible entries received prior to action taken by Sponsor. Participants must provide a valid e-mail address when entering online. Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of the entries in this Sweepstakes. Sponsor is not responsible for computer system, phone line, hardware, software or program malfunctions, or other errors, failures, or delays in computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an electronic entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the “authorized account holder,” person in whose name the e-mail account is registered, provided that person meets all eligibility criteria set forth in the Eligibility section of the Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process. This sweepstakes and these Official Rules are governed, construed, and interpreted under the laws of the State of Wisconsin and any or all claims pursuant to these shall be brought in the courts of the State of Wisconsin.
Winner List: For the names of the winners, please send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Molly Movie Sweepstakes, c/o American Girl, P.O. Box 620497, Middleton, WI 53562-0497. Request must be received by March 15, 2007.
