My cat Max who is 2 and a half has an ulcer on his tongue. I took him to the vet on Saturday because his tongue was hanging out of his mouth for 2 days and he wasn't eating. My husband discover some antifreeze in the driveway on Saturday and Max was sniffing it and we were afraid maybe he had got into it.
Well we took him to the vet and they did blood work and discovered the ulcer on his tongue. We got his blood work back and everything is fine. The thing is he's still not eating. Im going to go back to the vet this morning to get him some pain medication. They did give him a shot because he was dehydrated but he hasnt eaten in days.
I don't have a lot of experience with sick pets. When we were growing up my Dad was old school and didnt believe in taking animals to the vet. Now that I think about it we did go through a lot of cats.
