Need info on DEERBROOK INSURANCE

Apparently DEERBROOK INSURANCE, IS A SUBSIDIARY OF ALLSTATE INSURANCE

I just wanted to know if i shoudl get my insurance done throught them , they agent told me they had an A rating but i couldnt find it anywhere , any advice guys?

I'm always under impression that it's better to use less-popular insurance company in my area. I've heard some stories if people involved in accidents are insured from same company that they don't get what they're supposed to, or that they had claims against collision coverage instead of the at-fault party's liability, which would increase their premium. Am I wrong having this impression?
