nice NAS- even supports 1GB wired networking. Which is a MUST for moving this much data.. I may snag one!

Keep in mind no disks come with it. So figure another ~$200 if you want to add 2 * 1TB drives

Newegg has 1TB Hitachi for $65 after a $10 rebate. Not bad at all....
 
was tempted to do it as I am currently in the market for a nice storage solution. The cost of this unit + drives does not make much sense unless you really want to go the easy but expensive route. The few bells and whistles this solution offers you really don't make the final price tag a decent value. I might just end up using an old dell P4 system with XP Pro I have sitting neglected in a storage closet as my network storage, print server etc.
