I am over here trying not to freak out because there is absolutely no gas to be found in this area. I stupidly let my tank get down to less than 1/4 and used most of that this morning trying to find gas.

I did find a Walmart that had gas but the lines were backed all through the parking lot and into the street at least a quarter mile.

Now I am stuck at home , with a million errands to run and no gas....

Sigh......... when will I ever learn?

Do you have AAA? If you 'run out of gas', they will come to you with gas. You may want to call them as they might know who has gas in your area.....rough situation, good luck.

Brilliant idea !!!!!!!!!!!!!! However I did not renew my AAA membership ... of course . I called a local gas station who claims they will have a gas truck tonight but he could not ( or would not ) tell me what time.....

Funny how you quit complaining about the price of something when you desperately need it.

Guess I will be doing housework today ..........yuck..................

You must live near me. We're having the exact same problem. I just try to take routes that coast down hills....... :driver:

I finally got gas today ... YAY!!!!!!!!!!! My son called me at 7 am this morning and said he saw a gas truck pulling into a local gas station. I flew like the wind and was 4th in line . I am not going to get myself into that situation again.

Oh My!!! I haven't been near a TV in weeks, but I caught a blib about this one night. I feel so bad for you guys! I don't think we take it seriously that we could ever not have gasoline! But you guys have lived it! I hope it's getting better. Keep you in my prayers!

It is supposed to be like this for another 2 to 3 weeks. The really scary thing is watching people react to a crisis. We actually have people SLEEPING at the gas pumps in hope that a truck will come. Gas truck divers are reporting being stalked and followed by "customers" to see where they are taking the gas. People are actually siphoning gas out of others folks cars or trying to drill into the gas tank from underneath and drain the gas out..... Most of the pumps here have to be manned by police officers because of the fights thats are breaking out.

You should be thankful there's an end in sight......I recalled the crisis of the 70s...that was rough.....

*ahem* I mean, I recall seeing all of that in the history books....;)

I got my first gas this morning! Yippee. I saw the tanker pull up on the way to dropping off the kids at school. Was allowed 9 gallons. There were two police officers who pulled open the door for me to pay. How sweet. Yeah, there are warnings here too about siphoning. I was contemplating taking a bit from some lawn mowers. heh heh. You can tell a huge reduction in road traffic...kinda nice in a way.
