it makes me question why people like these chose the path becoming a pastor.

They might think that they will become better people by being a pastor. Others might see it as quick and easy access to the youth in their area.
 
Has anyone thought that maybe becoing a pastor leads to this. Its very hard to abstain from a woman all your life. Maybe that causes them to think about it and some of them do.

Its real sad that all priests are known for are molesting Kids , and the shurch is doing nothing about removing that impression (ie transferring priests after a case is filed).

if you ask me he deserves it!!! why even put yourself remotely near a situation where you'd be accused of doing such a thing???!!!
 
why couldn't this happen to the more well-known pedophile... well of course his nose might fall off...

Most "pastors" do not abstain from marital relations. There are only a couple Christian religions that require abstinance. The rest of them are free to marry. The thing you need to remember is; it's not the religion or the rules of that religion that is the catalyst for deviant behavior, it's the fault of the person that 'chooses' to act in that manner. Now if the organization that the person (pastor, priest) is a member of knows about it and they do nothing....then they are also at fault.
