just my experience with panasonic phones over the years. the batteries suck.!

one brand of phone which I can vouch for is uniden. I did not buy it. got a pair free when I took sunrocket. and that cordless just works and works.. they are amazing.

aaaaah, i bought this phone, but the model w/o the answer machine for $99! but that was a whileee ago.. anyways, I like this phone and the JOIP service. if you make international calls, they have some cheap rates for many countries..
