Panasonic TH-42PX60U 42" Plasma HDTV for $1648.95 Shipped

not bad, because these tv's weigh a ton. Other companies charge alot on shipping.

I have this TV, it weighs 60 something pounds. Not terribly heavy, but to pay long distances it might be expensive. How do you get circuit city to match the price if it is on amazon? I bought this TV less than a month ago for a little more from circuit city (1700 + tax) after a 10% off coupon. How would I get them to match? By the way the MSRP on the TV is about 2500 bucks

RIPOFF!!

Do yourself a favor and spend $100 more to get 2.6 times as many pixels.

Its a 42" 1080p set (yes that is a "p") that has a 4.5/5 rating.

BTW, before someone tries to correct me.
Westinghouse set res = 1920 x 1080 = 2,073,600 pixels
Set from original link = 1024 x 768 = 786,432 pixels

Good point, but.....
Out of stock
Ship date uncertain

Plus if I'd get one, I'd get it at Costco for the return policy.

Great TV,

Been shopping for several months, This TV was $2500+ a few months ago. I bought it last week for my B-day from Circuit City. Incredible picture, great value for the dollar. 1080p due it's bandwidth demands will most likely not be available until we buy our next generation of TV. ESPN and most of the HD channels are 720 currently.

Just my opinion, but I do not know anyone who owns a Westinghouse TV. Panasonic is a known brand who has run second to Pioneer in most ratings for a great deal less money.

Good TV at a good price. Do not miss another football season waiting for a better deal, they are like waiting for computer prices to fall. Buy one (any HD) and start enjoying it.

My 2 cents

Yes I just got the TV thru the great deal at Circuit city too. I did my research and even consumer reports and plasmatvbuyinguide.com did give this and all the panasonic plasmas great reviews. The only westinghouse thing I have is a dishwasher, and it isn't that great. Plus you are comparing LCD Westinghouse to Plasma Panasonic. I could have gone to Costco and got one of the Vizio tvs a 50 inch plasma for $2000. I went with quality over price. The 1080p would have been nice, but the few HD channels now are only 720p max anyway. Also there is two HDMI outputs on the Panasonic (one of which is used by my DVD player already and the other will be for the HD receiver for DirecTV). My 2 cents.

Now how do I get Circuit City to give me the price protection difference in the price I paid and the Amazon deal?

Well in case any of you want to match Circuit City, this is the reply they told me :

I understand your concern regarding the price match on your purchase of
the "Panasonic TH-42PX60U 42" Plasma HDTV" with the Amazon.com.

Please note that as per our price match plus guarantee, we do not
provide electronic online price match with any Internet retailer. We
match prices only with physical stores. Hence, we are unable to
match/beat the price listed on other web sites with Amazon.com. I
apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

That is lame.
